Mr. Johnston is a 30 yr old male requesting detox for heroin use. Friends of his used the drug and he decided to try it. Initially he did not like it, but he returned to it for reasons he cannot understand and became addicted. He supports his habit with stealing, when he cannot find or keep a job. He has been in detoxification twice and had repeated difficulties remaining free from heroin use. He finds that at times of stress it is very difficult to refrain from using heroin, and he relapses.
